It was the day before my birthday. My boyfriend had recently left the country to meet with some business men about an offer concerning the condition of his company, and as I was longing to feel his perfectly porcelain skin, my phone buzzed. When I stopped my game of ‘Dead Island’, I focused my attention to the coffee table. I don’t remember making any plans with anyone, I thought reaching for the cellular device. The caller ID seemed a bit weird, so I hesitantly pressed the answer button.
“Hello?” I peeped, a little nervous answering the phone because it was a stranger.
“Naru-…” the voice said in a half sob, and I tried to register who it was on the other end.
Then it clicked – It was Sasuke! I was on the verge of tears; my joy of hearing his voice again was getting the best of me. Before I was too out of it, I piped up and tried to ask him why he called and why he was crying into the phone.
“Sasuke,” I whispered, but before I could start, he spoke.
“N-naruto, I… I think I might’ve denied the company a new client,” he said between crying.
“Sasuke, what are you talking…”
My words were cut off with the ring from the door to my apartment. Someone really needed to come here at 2:30am? I thought as I sat up. Putting the phone down on the table, I stood up and wrapped my blanket around my body and waddled to the front door. Peering out of the peep hole, I saw a flash of spiked hair and pale skin. With my heart racing and hot tears streaming down my face, I fumbled with the lock and finally swung the heavy door open.
There, across from me, was a tall man sitting on the floor. His bags were carelessly packed, the tie around his neck was wrinkly and folded wrong, and his face was a mess; having cried so much that his cheeks turned pink and his hands were shaking. The passport, credit card, and keys to his car were lying on the ground in front of him, while he himself was hugging the pictures of me he took with him on his trip close to his chest.

I know I haven't finished another chapter to my other SasuNaru story, but I was having writer's block and my mind just told me to write a different story.
I PROMISE that I'll continue on this and write more chapters, though my abruptly short stories don't get read that often...
I think longer chapters is what I need to keep people interested... Right??
